We have the power to enable. We just need a strong will and
determination.
Hellen Keller once said “All the world is full of suffering.
It is also full of overcoming.” The principle aim of Project Empower is to be
the means for that ‘overcoming’.
Through our Project ‘Empower’ we channelize our energies in
making the differently able independent. We don’t call them dis-abled, we call
them differently abled, because each individual has multiple dimension and even
if he is handicapped in some of them, he can still reap the potential of other
dimensions
With this project children are able to pursue the career of
their inclination and finally come out into society skilled and confident. We
leave no stone unturned in making them self-dependent and independent.
With our efforts at our National Training center in Vijay
Nagar, Delhi we are working tirelessly to empower and enlighten, through
Project ‘Empower’. Although the project is at a nascent stage we still have thirty
students from the North Campus of Delhi University, who are being trained in
basic computer operations along with development of their soft skills in order
to become more productive assets in the work space.
There is also a batch of visually impaired who are given
special attention and are taught separately with the help of a special teacher.
Our Faculty includes a Computer Teacher, a Soft Skills
Trainer and a Special Education Trainer. All the faculty lead from the front
and make the learning experience exciting and fun for the students. We are
focused on improving on their interview skills, interpersonal skills and
confidence building.
The Vijay Nagar center also acts as a placement cell college
level students and also organizes counseling sessions and other professional
workshops.
This center also has a special program for underprivileged
children who don’t have access to computers.
The Activities in the center include:
Computer Training, Soft skills Trainings, PD, career
counseling, placement etc.
National NGO is a non-government social organization which
was established in 2012, with the sole purpose of enabling the underprivileged
and internalizing ‘inclusiveness’. We have varied programs for enabling disabled
children and getting them back in to the main stream. We also provide shelters
for the disabled children at our center at Tughlakabad.
We act as catalyst agents between the donors and the
downtrodden, and efficiently and effectively using the funding received, we
ensure that the disabled, marginalized and downtrodden are well looked after
and given the basic human rights of education and proper nutrition.
Our primary focus areas are Healthcare,
Nutrition, Education and Empowerment. We leave no stone unturned in providing
these basic human rights to as many children as possible to make their future
as bright as possible
