Quality over Quantity- The Importance in Indian Education

India's Prime Minister- Narendra Modi has stressed that it is time to lay more focus on quality over the quantity of the education. The Indian education system is somewhat in an unstructured way which is more or large focused on quantity over quality. In fact, there are millions of kids, especially from backward background aren't getting enough education due to financial issues or old backward tradition. Starting from ancient India teaching system to current IIT and IIM there is a systematic change benefited many kids. With so many educational campaigns by the government like the Sarv Shiksha Abhiyaan, but the quality isn't the best which the kids should require. Thankfully, NGOs like National NGO, has been working hard to ensure that kids get the best education, and stress more on quality over quantity.

Focused on other aspects of Education-

One of the major drawbacks of Indian education is parents and teachers give more importance to sky high cut-offs, marks and other not so important aspects. The common scenario seen among most of kids is the mugging of concepts and spitting them out on the answer sheet. There is hardly any focus on skill development which is very much required on the actual job. This is why National NGO works closely on building skills among young aspirants through various courses undertaken. This proved to be very much helpful in many aspirants.

Overcoming the common Issues-

The major fault lies in the initial years of education system where passing the exam is only focus. This is what needs to change. To stop, these teachers need to have different approach towards students’ right from the primary and upper primary level. Teachers and educational institutes need to bring technology and new teaching method to help students gaining interest.

In university and higher education system, teachers need to focus more on training for practical knowledge of specific subjects. This training will help students in getting better practical understanding of the subject and field.

Looking at the current scenario of the education system by government initiatives, there is a much more revamped version of the same. This further will impart practical skills and doesn’t compromise with the creativity.

How National NGO is contributing?

National NGO is contributing widely towards the betterment of Indian education system. They are working hard to educate maximum kids. One such is the Mobile School initiative for street kids helping them in getting desired education. Then there is National Public School in Bihar offering free primary education to over 60 students of karmauni Village.

The major aim of National NGO is to offer quality education rather concentrating on quantity. With more funding from government and private organizations, National NGO engages more on bringing more initiatives.
