NGOs are registered as Societies but in some states such as the Societies Act in the state of Maharashtra, NGOs can also be registered as Trustees.

Companies Act
Memorandum and Articles of Association and Regulation Document are required for registration of NGOs under the Companies Act.

There is no need for any type of stamp paper to make this document, it is necessary to have at least three members to make this document. In this act, the NGO is registered under the Companies Act.
